  • Mother's sighting of Ultimate Suckage.

It's taken me a bit to sort out how best to post this one. It happened Friday also, and actually was the cause of me being at Wal-Mart to see the idiot woman and her spawn. It's a bit hard to follow, so please try to keep up. Probably better to just "list" what happened than to really try to explain a lot of it. (It's even confusing to me.)

1.) Mum needed to go to the doctor, so I took her. Since WM has that new plan where some meds are 4 bucks, we asked the doc to send her RX there. Watched him fax all 4 of them over, and were done with it.

2.) Arrived at WM, and spoke to someone from the Pharmacy. They stated that there was a stack about six to eight inches high of Rx before mum's, but added that they would be ready in about two hours. The lady apologized profusely.

3.) Took mum home and got a bite to eat. Turned around and drove back to the store. (bout 30 min drive). When I got there, I found that it was still busy, so I milled about in the store, shopping for a few min.

4.) After my shopping, and more waiting by a sign that said "Wait here for next cashier" (Which oddly I was the only one paying attention to) I'm served by a lady named ******, a Pharm Tech. You could tell that she didn't want to be there, given the distracted listless look she had. I ask about mum's meds, to which she goes on a hunt for them.

5.) Tech comes back and states "Ain't got none for her." I restate that it should be there that another employee said they'd be ready in 2 hours. So the tech goes looking again. Well, if you call milling about and chatting with a friend looking. Coming back she says "Ain't nothing there. It ain't been called in." I smiled and said firmly "Oh really? Odd since I watched the doctor fax it here..." Tech rolled her eyes and went back searching.

6.) Several min pass, Tech finally finds ONE medication, which she has me pay for and then makes herself scarce.

    Problem:

4 meds were called in. One for blood pressure, one antibotic, one for asthma, and one for pain.

    They only filled the pain.

7.) This morning: Mother calls Pharmacy and speaks with pharmacist. He claims he will "look into it" and "call her back in ten minutes."

8.) Two hours later, I call WM's Customer service 1-800 number and file a complaint.

9.) One hour after that, Pharmacist calls. He is very short with mum, constantly cutting her off and saying "Well what do you need?" Eventually, after getting her nicely upset he says curtly "We can't help you. Nothing we can do." He then hangs up.

10.) As SOON as that call ends, I call the store and ask for the store manager. I relay what's going on, as well as having called the 1-800 number. He's crapping bricks now, and is quite nice. Even gives me the Pharm's DM number to call. Says, tell G about this. He will fix it.

11.) I call the Pharm DM, and speak with him. Relate the WHOLE story up until the last phone call. DM is ticked beyond measure. I find out that he'd already spoken to (wrote up) the Pharmacist for the incident already (per the 1-800 call complaint) and had told the man to find the (censored) Rx and fill it! NOW! DM apologizes profusely about the Pharmacist's call, and says he'll speak to Pharm about it. Told me to swing by the store and check with the pharmacy again, figures that they may have it sorted out by the time I get there. He apologizes again.

12.) 4:00 PM. Sat. I head in to check with the SM I spoke to. Since I had to go into the store anyway to pick up something else, figured no harm. Decided to swing by the Pharmacy to see if they'd found mum's Rx yet. Pharmacist isn't the usual guy, but he does a good search of it. Apologizes that he's a bit new at this, since he had to replace the other pharmacist who had just been quote "relieved" of his position. Rx isn't found, and they're still looking. Doc is out till tuseday, so mum is taking things lightly until then.

I wonder if it's considered being sucky if I got the Pharmacist fired?

They still haven't found the prescriptions.

um... his own actions got him fired.

they lost the paperwork, pretended to look for it....
then that particular pharmacist said he'd call you back in 10 minutes and never did.

when you complained it was about the whole process not just him... but he took it upon himself to call you back and take it out on your mother.

he was already a problem child and refused to get an attitude adjustment. Maybe next time he gets a job he'll put his temper on hold and learn how to act like an adult.

No way were you sucky. Everyone you dealt with face to face absolutely was (except the last pharmacist).

If it makes you feel better, I'm sure you were just the straw that broke the camel's back as far as the old pharmacist went.

When the hell did you do that? All I saw was an asshole get what what was coming to him. If he'd done his job right, he'd still have it.

You didn't blow up at any of the random employees you encountered.

You didn't threaten to have their jobs, or claim 'The customer is always right!', or demand something physically impossible, or any other such nonsense.

You made proper complaints through the proper channels because the employees weren't doing their jobs.

No way you were sucky. The guy deserved to be fired.

Nope you weren't sucky at all. Peoploe who act like that when they are supposed to be in the position to help others really grinds me up.

Hope your Mom is feeling more up to herself soon. And hope you don't go too nuts over this, big snugs from here.

How incredibly unprofessional of the new pharmacist to be telling customers that his predecessor was fired. I would think they'd have some rules against that. At the very least, common sense would tell most people not to air their store's dirty laundry out in the public.

Regardless of the former pharmacist's job performance, I'd think a little discretion would be in order. Most businesses don't reveal their internal human resources issues to random customers.

It is possible that the new pharmacist was discreet, and simply stated that the old one was not employed there anymore in a completely professional manner, but Repsac just put 2 and 2 together.

Of course, only repsac would know for sure.

Nothing wrong. If you can't or won't do your job, then you're gone. Simple. But at the most the new guy should have just said that the other pharmacist was no longer working there and left it at that.

From my experience walmart pharmacists are some of the worst. I dropped off some prescriptions there once and was told one hour.I went and got groceies and came back and was told another hour, and then was told another 30 mins.Well this happened to me and 10 other people. Finally I threw a fit and come to find out they had not started me and these other 10 peoples perscriptions. So I got my stuff after 3 hours. So never again. No you weren't sucky, its people like this make me mad.People we all do our jobs and do them right and people like this why we have CS.People CS run into people like this and think oh all cashier and workers are like this.

Something tells me this wasn't the first incident with this pharmacist.

I go to Wegmans pharmacy. They're great. When I just walk in and ask if they can refill my Rx, they usually say 20 minutes and they have it in 20 minutes. And I tell them if they are too busy I can come back later, though they have yet to tell me that they are too busy.

Yesterday I stopped in there because I called in my refill on the automated system the night before and discovered I didn't have any more refills. Being that it was Saturday and a holiday weekend, I didn't know if my doctor would get back to them right away. I only have enough left for tonight, so if I can't get it by Monday I'll have a problem (entirely my own fault, I realize; I didn't pay attention to how many pills I had left. Normally I call it in at least a week before I need it). The tech looked in the computer, and even checked the drawer to make sure it hadn't been filled even though the computer indicated that the doctor hadn't called back yet. He said if they haven't heard back by Monday they can give me a few days worth to hold me over. And he apologized, even though it is in no way their fault. I'll have to get there before 1 tomorrow (they close early for Labor Day) and I have a feeling the doc will not have called back.
