So the casino I work at is attatched to a hotel, so it's basically [casino name] resort and casino, but they are seperate companies, at least when it comes to staff, I don't know otherwise. The hotel part owns the parking structure, which patrons of both the casino and hotel use, as well as the staff from both places. Now when I started working for the casino I was given a parking pass for free, as was every other staff member.
Recently a sign went up stating that there are new parking passes being issued and that if you need one you need to go to the hotel's front desk. Okay fine. So I go in the other day and ask about the parking passes, the guy at the desk tells me that I need to speak to a certain person about it, and they aren't in until the next day 9 - 5, so fine, I go in the next day. I ask about the parking pass again, and this person tells me that all I need to do is bring in my old one and they'll give me a new one, so I go grab my old one and head back inside.
This is the part where the suck comes in, I go in and hand my old pass to the guy at the desk, and he talks to another person that's there, and then tells me that the person I need to talk to, the same person I was told the night before, isn't in but will be back in 10 minutes, and I can wait if I want. So I wander around the park next to the hotel for a bit and go back in. I speak to another employee and she says she has no idea about them, I mention that I needed to talk to a specific person, she ignores this or doesn't hear me and talks to the same person that the previous employee talked to, and then tells me that I need to talk to my supervisor.
After all that, back and fourth, being told that I just need to talk to this specific person, to be told that nope, I need to talk to my supe annoys the hell out of me, especially since it was the same person that told me I'd need to talk to the right person.
And, to top it all off, people were talking in the break room, and one of the supes was there, and one of the floor managers and neither of them had any idea what was going on with the parking passes. I'm hearing now that we may have to pay for parking, not sure how much though. Really I mean, shouldn't a business provide parking for its employees? It just pisses me off to no end. Especially being run around by the hotel, I know that the employees may not be getting all of the information, but there was one of their supervisors, or managers right there, and they gave me the same run around, twice.
