I saw a shoplifter get busted today!

I was walking to my car in the parking lot at Wal-Mart, and suddenly a guy ran right past me, coming by me by less than a foot. Three other guys ran after him, yelling at him. One of the guys caught up to the first guy and backed him to a wall by a nearby store (it was a plaza with lots of stores) and took something out of his pocket (My mom said it looked like a necklace, but I didn't see it). Then he handcuffed the guy and they led him back to Wal-Mart. It was all pretty cool, I never get to see action like that. Way to go, Wal-Mart guys!

you wish you knew as he was running past that he was a shoplifter so you could 'accidently' stick your foot out and watch him say hello to the ground real quick? I hate shoplifters....

Ooo not to hijack your thread, but a couple of weeks ago, my bosses caught a shoplifter, and dragged her back in store. Where she peed. On the Floor. Glad i didn't have to clean that up!

I'd almost forgotten a similar experience I'd had once. My mom had to make an evening run to the store and I happened to be with her. As we were at the car loading up the groceries, I look to see this guy running full speed from the store carrying some sort of box, and as he passed I noticed it was beer. Three store employees were in full pursuit as they ran down the parking lot. As we got to the stoplight at the exit, we noticed they'd caught the guy in the grass next to the main road, and had him pinned while they waited for the cops. Sweet.

Definitely! That would have been awesome to see the guy hit the cement. He did pass so close that afterwards I checked to make sure I still had my cell phone.

It's never happened to me before, but I find watching a shoplifter get owned to be pretty sweet...

I wish our wal-mart would chase people down. all we do is quietly follow them and wait for one of our lazy ass managers(okay, all but maybe 3 are not lazy) to stop them. it's frustrating to know that we just saw our stuff go out the door unpaid for and all we can hope for is that the cameras got a good picture of him. annoyance!
