  • What a ride

So some time last week, my girlfriend and I had some errands to run. I don't have the luxury, or should I say, burden of owning a vehicle, so I utilize the public transit they have out here in SLC. There's never a dull moment on the buses and trains with all the freaks this city has.

So on the bus, there's this one section in the front of the bus that isn't in rows, but up against the walls, mainly designated for old and handicapped people. The bus is rather empty. I'm sitting in the first 'row' seat towards the front and she's sitting in one of the seats up against the wall. So this guy gets on. He isn't exactly handicapped, but has an awkward limp. He gets on the bus, chats with the bus driver for about an eternity before sitting down, and makes his way over to us. He sits right next to my girlfriend, but accidentally (so I think it was accidental) hits her arm/shoulder with his ass and lands in her lap. Nothing like a hysterical laugh at your girlfriend's expense. Maybe it was one of those 'you had to be there' moments, but either way I'll never forget it. Neither will she.

Later down the road, this woman gets on, along with her 2 kids. Bad news for me because I can't stand kids, but good news for me because they're really loud and obnoxious, not very well behaved, and VERY hyper. Good news for me because I know other passengers are getting irritated and I get amusement from the awkward silence of all the passengers just watching the kids jump around and scream when you know they all want to tell the mom to keep her ***** kids in line. Low and behold, when the mom and the two demons get off all of the other passengers start talking about how awful their behavior was and how the mom really didn't seem to care.

Not the most exciting of stories, but it's all I have for right now :-P

First off... I thought UTA sightings were supposed to be my speciality

oh, and I know the guy you are talking about... he's done that to passengers on some of the buses I've been on (which is why I tend to sit towards the back)
If you wish to find meaning, listen to the music not the song
