I've worked in family law. No, you are not the only one, not by a long shot. There have been some high-profile cases where the grandparents of someone who murdered their spouse took physical custody before the murdered spouse's parents could. Now that's a nasty custody battle.
maybe I should rephrase that... one of the few where there was NO suspicious circs... it was a suicide plain and simple, they found the note and were able to confirm it was his handwriting... and even if they couldn't there is no way my mother could have been involved because she lived over 500 miles away at the time and his death occurred while she was at work (never thought we'd have ever been grateful for having a douche of a boss who is a major clock nazi... he could if needed in court testify when you came in to work down to the second )

We're not supposed to work on Sundays (LDS here, not JW) but more...we're not supposed to do anything that puts anyone else in a position to work, either. So on Sundays, no going out to restaurants, grocery stores, dry cleaners, libraries, etc. etc. The only exception is essential services (cops, hospitals, 911, etc).

So the woman is just an idiot for saying that to the poor fast food worker. If he's not supposed to be working on Sunday, and she's there expecting services, then she's just creating the medium needed to force him to be at work on a Sunday. Hypocrite.
