this was a rather odd experience
Fh took me to dinner and a show for my birthday. Naturally, as expected, any restaurant anywhere near the show was packed to the rafters with people.
So when we came to a place we wanted to try, and saw it was packed we were not shocked and knew we would have to wait. We get to the front and the manager (I assume) simply says "you have a booking?" we said no, he then just points to some chairs off to the side and walks away.
I was confused, but shrugged it off. Then while waiting I here a click of fingers, turn around and the same guy is clicking his fingers at me, then motions for me to "come".
Takes us to a table then leaves. There was no plates, cups, cutlery. Nothing. We sat there for a good 10 minutes being ignored. Till a nice lady came over from the drinks section and sounding rather confused said "you've not been served yet at all so I figured I would at least get you guys some drinks" So she did, really nice girl, got us a bottle of champers, and we had gotten through half the bottle before someone came over to set up our table and get our order. Then we waited...and waited...and waited..now yes busy place, I knew there would be a wait, I'm not griping about that, more that we just got ignored after that again. Sept for the manager coming over re-filling our glasses without a word and leaving...which was just odd, but meh.
So we got our food all but one dish. We almost finished the dishes when we had to ask where the third one was, it came out and we were told that the kitchen was flat out and forgot. No worries at all. But yeah.
I mean after all that, the food was good, the service was crap, I would still go back as this, I assume, was a off night. But yeah...it was...INTERESTING that's for sure.

Wish I could be that forgiving. I guess I'm just used to good quality service here in NZ, and word of mouth is pretty important over here.
