Two weeks in a row now I've returned an in store rental only to a few days later have them call me asking where it is and asking when I plan on returning it...

I had that same problem with my library last year. I'd return things into the drop boxes, and then weeks later get a notice that I had a fine for overdue or items that were returned late. So I'd have to call customer service and get it all straightened out. I finally got so annoyed that I stopped using the library altogether. Then a year later I start getting these things from a collection agency...saying I owed that library $80 and would be in trouble if I didn't pay it. God, I was pissed, and paid it all off despite being REASSURED by the last customer service person I talked to that it was all taken care of and corrected. I'd had no clue I still had that outstanding fine. I've begun using the library again, but I'm more carefully tracking my account. -
For what it's worth, I do Blockbuster Online (two stores in my vicinity, and I like the ability to grab a free rental when I return something). I haven't experienced any problems, and the one time we've had to call for help (we lost an envelope), the customer service folks were really helpful and efficient.

oh yes... no complaints against the online part... it was the in store that kept screwing up... and the next closest location(s) are 4 miles away (but in a shopping center that only allows right turns in and out which means I have to deal with a uturn which I hate) or 5 miles away... First off, yes, you should totally stop using the online. I'm not even joking. I currently work for Blockbuster and even us employees HATE the online. Our new CEO has decided that the online is useless and wants to get rid of it, so now they deliver the absolute worst in customer service. Oh, and guess who gets to hear about it? It's not like the online provides a number for all of these pissed off customers to call. So they come screaming into the store demanding all kinds of free shit for the online's mess ups. (fyi, stores do not ship you your movies. We have an entirely different warehouse that does it)
As for your issue with the store, I'm absolutely baffled by this store's suckiness. Sometimes we miss movies during check-in and they get put back on the shelf, but if we find the movies on the shelf? We check it in immediately and refund any charges that have been charged to the customer. Not only that, but on the fifth and sixth day of a movie not being returned, we are supposed to go search the store to make sure we didn't miss it. Sounds like the store you were in just has some poor management.
So come to my store instead!

Ya know, it's cheaper to home build a computer then it is to buy one. Particularly if it's an EMachine since you have to upgrade everything anyways.

I record cable using MythTV, and have a nice Sony which has HDMI inputs. My computer doesn't have HDMI out.
But, it does have a DVI out, so I use one of these cables.Comment
