  • politics is like comedy...

    ... it's all about timing.

I voted at 8am this morning after getting off work and getting something to eat. At noon I check my mail... and there's a card telling me to vote for (candidate)... you know... I can think of a better time to be having your post cards arrive... like maybe BEFORE the voters vote

yeah... I'm easily amused but that was really my first reaction "oh... this would have done you a lot more good YESTERDAY"

Yeah, I toolk the "vote by mail" option this year, meaning I voted over a week ago. I've been pointing and laughing at the political ads for about ten days now.

I'm so sick of the political hair-pulling and jumping about. I'll be glad when this day is over.

I worked at an election polling station last election. It was awkward because we got those electronic machines and whenever someone has trouble you go to it and you can actually see who they're voting for, even though it's illegal to, well, go there to see who someone's voting for.

We received *three* back-to-back calls from our political party after we got home from voting. Way to go, guys I'm with morgana; I'm ready for it all to be over!

Just one more day until I can watch TV and listen to the radio without "John McCain is this" or "Barack Obama is that."

Well, fortunately that doesn't seem to be happening this time... Not that you can really argue with this margin of victory anyway.

It sure was pretty funny this morning listening to Howard Stern interview by phone Daniel Carver from the KKK. His wife was really pissed.

And in my area, it's also been . . . "Kay Hagen is such and such" (had a really heated Senate race going on here) or "Wasteful Walter Dalton" (a candidate for Lieutenant Governor. Ad naseam . . .

Also as annoying, if not more so: those phone calls from all those voting groups reminding one to go vote.

I have a calendar, folks. I know when Election Day is - it just so happened it fell on my Mom's birthday this year, so there's no chance I could forget.

At least the ads are gone now.

Oooh. He shoulda put the laser tag in first. And had it working. And been close by to me. I so would've been there.

...I loves me some laser tag. I miss it.

I wonder if there are any places nearby that would accept a "big kid" like me.
