Haha, full service gas stations around here are about as rare as tan people.

I've never been to a gas station where someone else pumped my gas for me or did any of that kind of stuff. I hear there are a few around here, I just don't know where they are or go to them.

Wait, full service petrol stations still exist?

Yep, they're just rare and usually kinda expensive... but you get what you pay for, I guess.

The two around here have self-serve pumps and full-serve pumps, with different prices for each.

Wow, I vaguely remember them from when I was about 4 or 5, but I haven't seen one in Australia for at least 15 years.

I stopped at a full service pump ONCE just to see what the difference was....about 10 cents a gallon (in 1981) and they pumped the gas, and that was IT. No cleaning the windshield, no checking fluid levels, nothing.

Now one time I did stop at the self-serve island (different place) and since I had a handicap placard, they insisted on pumping the gas for me at no additional charge. I let them.
Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.

At the last gas station I worked at, there were two full service pumps. Cost about 10 cents a gallon extra, but you got a free deluxe car wash with it.

NJ only has full serve. You aren't allowed to pump your own gas here.

That being said, I have only pumped gas once in my life & I had no clue what I was doing.

Becks knows this. She lived in NJ for 5 years.

Becks, at said hellhole, with the full serve, they also got their windshield washed, oil and tire pressure checked, along with the car wash.

They were probably hot over you, Blas. I get the same thing. Pretty girls who know their way around an engine are rare, apparently.

I used to drive a '75 Ford Maverick in Santa Fe, and I loved it cause I could do a lot of the maintenance myself. My male neighbors used to come out and watch me work on it in my driveway. I actually got hit on several times at gas stations. I do believe I'm probably the only woman in the world who has ever heard the line "I've got a great racing hood for that thing at home" as a blatant pickup line!
Because as we all know, on the Internet all men are men, all women are men and all children are FBI agents.

I'll take your word for it, big sis. All I know is that on Saturday they were busy with cars and leaving early and on Sundays they only came in to harass the help.
