I lived in a rural town for a couple of years, and lemme tell ya... that's just how people who live in the sticks tend to act. Before I moved there, I lived near Washington, DC and before that, Brooklyn, NY and now I live in San Diego, CA... people mind their own business and don't stare at each other in the city.

People who live in corn fields are a whole other breed though. (and no offense to anyone who fits into that category... like I said, I've lived there too, and my entire extended family lives in the VERY rural midwest, US)
    I work at Walgreens.

(I'm just tired of mentioning it every time I want to relate to a story. )

Oh god, I know all about the stares. I moved to Nova Scotia in 1995 after spending the earlier part of my life in the suburban sprawl of BC's Lower Mainland. The village I ended up in is filled with nice friendly people who DON'T realize I'm just another anonymous, invisible body passing them by. They nod and smile and even strike up conversations in the checkout line...even when I have no freakin' clue who they are.

I got used to that, though, and I appreciate it now.
And that, right there, is about the best advertisement for Nova Scotia I have ever heard.

either that or... they'd all just seen x-men and figure ... you're going to run over, touch them, and sap their powerz!

i *almost* have one... but mine's just a tiny section of hair that's almost grey... cos hey i wouldn't mind having Rogue hair. (rogue as in x-men that is. not Rogue from the Crüxshadows! lol)
