a *lovely* encounter with the govhment peoples
Haven't posted in a while so mods please move if this is in the wrong place.
Today was great until this afternoon "appointment" some background. been trying to get on medicaid since i need the help right now. (that in of itself is another story, difficult to find a job while expecting, even a desk job if but temporary. oh well)
Quick run through/background. Due to the above had to schedule a ride out, can't get out until the afternoon if at all and even being a car causes problems due to the pregnany oh well. And this office was in a nice neighborhood but with all that went on in here you would never know that.
I would not have been bothered waiting the rest of the day until the office closed even if going there meant just getting to talk to an actual person. Myself, friend and her son didn't even stay two hours, why?
- Because the place was fithy, very unkempt looked dirty, the bathrooms hadn't been serviced even remotly recently. writting ALL over the stalls
- some of the parents let their kids run amok WITHOUT shoes on all over the dirty floor
- others were loud and obnoxious further making my head hurt
- the people attending the counters were VERY unhelpful, rude without provocation and when it was my turn to ask a question the person walked off without saying a word.
I was more than likely wrong on doing this so i spoke up "I GUESS I'll have to opt for mailing in the form and HOPING to get a phone interview since everyone is SO helpful here."
by then my head was pounding, my stomach hurt something awful and I didn't want to keep my friend and her child there any longer than I wanted to be there.
I know its asking a bit much since I'm sure the employees there get bombared with sc's worse than i can imagine but why, why when all i wanted was an answer for my forms so i could just get in an appointment time. (
I'm going to the office in the next town over that services my zip code.
