I went to McDonalds to get some breakfast this morning and was stuck behind a "lady" (and I use the term loosely) for longer than I wanted to.

I watched the server pull the hash browns out of the frier. Well, the customer didn't think that they weren't hot enough. The server told her that she just pulled them out and the customer still complained that she didn't want one that had been sitting around all day (20 minutes after opening?).

As per the request / demand - the server put one back in the frier for a few minutes. She gave it to the customer and the customer then complained that it was too crispy.

Well, you wanted it hot so she put it back in the frier for you.

As the server is waiting on me, this customer decided to just get back and walk in front of me to insist that she wasn't given enough equal or sauce for her burrito. She was handed 5 packets of equal and she wanted more. I think she ended up with about 20 packets.

No wonder she's so high strung.

I generally only get breakfast at McDonalds whenever I have to take my bike into the garage for maintenence, so I'm not in a perfect mood; all that money to pay out. So I would have told the woman to bog off to the back of the line. XD

Not a good idea. Food that gets too heavily cooked breaks down the grease McD's uses to fry foods. I distinctly remember being told during training to NEVER recook food. NEVER, damn you! Fry a new one to appease the squalid masses! Not to mention, most mornings, I couldn't keep up with the demand for hash browns, so they were always brand spanking, just out of the fryer toasty hot!

Back when I could still drink coffee (doesn't taste right to me now) I would do half a cup (actual cup not measurement cup) of coffee and the rest of milk and sugar. Syrupey goodness.

Not hot enough?!? The employee should have asked her to pop the whole thing into her mouth right then! If it burns then it hasn't been sitting around! Enjoy the burns idiot. sheesh.

That's not a lot. I use 8 packets of splenda in my morning coffee. 2 is normal.(Yes, I know I have issues)

Hey, I do the same thing! Well, okay, a big glass of tea gets the same treatment as my coffee cup (places I go to have very bitter coffee).

Pfft. Depending on the size of the cup I put 2-4 Sweet n Low PLUS 1-2 Equal.
For my Atlanta Bread Company mug, I'll put 2 pink stuff, 2 blue stuff, and sometimes toss in a splenda. I treat splenda and equal as interchangable, since to me they are about the same.

I'm one of the "freaks" who likes very sweet coffee. But "very sweet" in my case means two teaspoons of demerara. I find that white sugar has no taste, so I only use white sugar when demerara isn't available.

Ditto. Cane sugar tastes sooo much better than white, I'm not sure why DD doesn't use it or at least offer the stuff (okay, maybe I do, too expensive relatively). I carry one of those lockable bento-box mini condiment cups with cane sugar in it for occasions when I go to a coffee place that doesn't have it.

At home I use demerara or agave syrup.

I witnessed a woman in DD earlier in the week getting a small coffee (that's probably less than 5 ounces) with extra cream and ten Equal O_o ...lady, that's not coffee, that's sweetened dairy!
