  • Oh you need this?

Kinda not a sighting but I wasn't sure where to put this.

Noticed this morning that my back tires were a little low. Since it's cold out I figured it was just cause of the cold air and things would be okay. I get into work and take a glance, they look even lower. So I just sigh and go into work. When I come back out I took a glance at the tires and they were about the same as this morning. Since our VMF guys will put air in our tires if needed I went over to the garage and it turned out all the guys were gone. Grumbling at my luck I headed off to the closest gas station. No luck, their air pump was out of service.

Second gas station...someone had ripped off the end. Soooo out of service.

Third gas station I saw a really nice price for cash sales for gas. So I get some gas, ask about their air pump and go back to where it is. SCORE it's good. But before I can get to it a couple vans pull in and get in line. No biggee. One of the vans just sits in front of the air pumps and stays there. A few gas pumps open and I think okay he's going to move now.

Waiting a bit longer I finally get out to ask if they can move up so that I can park by the air pump. Guy sitting in the seat looks to me, looks to a buddy sitting in the passager seat and then rolls up his window. Thinking he's going to move I get back into my car to move when he does. So what does the guy do? Pulls into the space next to the air pump and flashes his lights at me.

I was thinking okay he's just being silly and he's going to move. Nope I finally left after waiting a bit longer....that jerk.

That guy was just sitting there for no reason? I would've gone inside or something. I don't if that would do much if only one person was working or something, but if they had a few people working there, someone could've came out and told them to move so people who actually need it can use it

Thats just it, there were only two ladies there and because of the awesome gas price for cash customers were packed to the max.

          I recommend a cheap car lighter-powered compressor.

I have a stirrup pump (actually two, since one of them went missing for a while) for my bicycle. My dad wanted one for his van when he saw mine, too. They take up more space than the traditional foot-pump, but are easier to use in random roadside conditions, which is when you need it the most.

You could also try a portable air compressor that can be recharged using a standard electrical outlet like what we have.

This one also has a built-in light, so if you're having to pump up a tire in the dark (which we had to do many a day during the last few months on the Toyota) you'll at least have some light to work with.

I don't think they're very expensive - I want to say around $40-$50 maybe. But they're a godsend to have and not heavy to carry at all.

Or you could do what I do - get one of the hoses that connects to the red line and lets you top up your tires from the brake system. Of course, it's a bit of a bummer when all 18 are low.

Highlight for a clue as to why this would work.

What a jackass. Selfish, mean and just plain stupid. Bet he's hung like a lightswitch, and hasn't had any since his girlfriend sprung a leak.

Not endorsing violence here, but a part of me just has to point this out:

How did that asshat know Aethian wasn't going to pull a gun out of the car and unload it through the driver's-side window? There are a lot of crazies in this world, and stupid shit like that can make even a normally calm and rational person feel the urge to lay a beat-down on someone. That stunt right there was right up there with spitting in the face of a guy called Tiny for stupidity.
