  • Scammer gets arrested

Since I hadn't actually dealt with this, I felt it would fit more in sightings than anything.

The food store where I work is located on a highway with all kinds of different stores on it (Crate and Barrel, Barnes and Noble, Ikea, Home Depot...etc).

Well, apparently we had some guy in a car, asking for money to visit his grandmother in the parking lot for a couple of months now. The thing is, he would be gone by the time we could do anything and he hadn't actually harmed anyone, so we couldn't really call the police.

A couple of days ago, one of my bosses is driving out of the parking lot when suddenly a turquoise chevy comes out of nowhere and blocks my boss from coming out. My boss looks out the window, and lo and behold is the scammer begging for money. That along with many customer complaints of him doing the same thing (blocking their cars with his) made it clear that the police had to get involved.

Today, when I was at break, there apparently were five police cars outside of my store surrounding the scammer's car. Scammer got arrested and the reason why there were so many was because they actually followed him from four different stores all over the high way. We were their last stop.

I just don't get people sometimes...if you're going try to scam someone and try to get away with it, shouldn't you, oh I don't know, NOT BLOCK THEIR CAR WITH YOUR CAR? I mean, seriously, way to bring attention to yourself, moron.
