My co-worker told me about this one today. He went to Subway and he paid with debit or credit. I don't know. And when the worker gave it back to him, he threw it across the counter instead of giving it to him. My co-worker now wants to call and complain against him, but he needs to know the number first.

I've thrown a good many debit/credit cards myself. Well, not on purpose. It's a good idea to keep a firm grip on the card when handing it over

I don't think it's really anything worth complaining about.
Just out of curiosity, did your coworker hand him the card or did he just toss it down on the counter? Because I have coworkers who will do exactly what the customer does to them. If they hand them the money, they hand them the money. If they toss it on the counter, they toss it on the counter.

If the coworker didn't throw the card and was polite, but the cashier was in a mood and was a dick, then it's a good reason to complain. But only if this was what actually happened.Labor boards have info on local laws for free
