Was browsing in a carpet shop yesterday afternoon, and the boss was on the phone to obviously an SC. Now I should point out that this was Wednesday, Friday to Monday are public holidays because of Easter, so next Tuesday is basically only 2 business days away.
"No, I told you that the layer already had another potential job for next tuesday, but as long as you confirmed by 12 he would give you priority over the other job. You didn't get back to me until 3, and when I contacted the layer he had booked in the other job because he hadn't heard from us about your job."
pause while the SC obviously had something more to say...
"No, I clearly told you multiple times that you had to confirm by 12. You didn't get back to me until 3..."
At this point, although I couldn't make out what he was saying, the customer was yelling so loud that I could hear the racket.
"Good luck finding someone else who can supply and lay carpet at such short notice sir". Click.
