  • In all the times I've ordered from them, I've NEVER had been talked to rudely.

There's a pizza place that I frequently order from because it's IMO better than the major chains and it's cheaper too. I called in my order announcing that I wished to use a coupon I had.

The order taker took my phone number. Usually they confirm the address. They didn't. The next words out of his mouth, "What do you want?" Now, I don't expect them to kiss up to me just because I order from them often, but no matter how frequent or infrequent you order from them, I don't feel that's an appropriate way to handle it.

I'm thinking I should follow my own advice by putting in a comment online in an effort to remedy this problem.

    Edited to add:

I submitted a comment on their website. I should have posted on here for feedback before I submitted it online, but I didn't wait. Feedback is still welcome.

"I order frequently, so this came as quite a surprise as I had never encountered rude behavior in an employee before. In fact, that's one of the many reasons I enjoy ordering ?????.

I placed an order shortly after 12 noon on Monday June 1. After requesting my phone number, the person taking my order did not confirm my address. In fact the next words out his mouth were, "What do you want?"

I hope that by writing this, the employee’s behavior can be corrected early enough so that it no longer is a problem for myself or others who also enjoy ?????."

In writing the letter, I think the most important guideline is to leave emotions out of it. Yes, I'm irritated about it, but showing my anger really doesn't solve the problem. Stating the facts, on the other hand, does.

Looks legit here. You're not trying to tie emotions into it, you're not asking for freebies, you're just trying to stress that this particular employee's attitude could be driving away business.

I think he's using them as spacers for the pizza joint's name.

Sorry for the confusion, but that is the reason I used question marks. They're normally a good place, and I didn't want to tarnish their reputation on these forums just because of what one guy said.

I think it's great: succinct and accurate, like you said, sticking to the facts.

They sent me a handwritten letter today. The gist of the letter apologize for how the order-taker came across, but let me know that he felt rushed and it came accross as rude. The letter also told me their behavior was corrected and they want to keep me as a customer. I also got a voucher for a free large 2 topping.

By "corrected" I hope it was nothing severe. Secondly, I think my comments came accross as me threatening, as the typical SC would, that I'm never shopping here again.
