I wonder if the owner has a company handle his rental properties, and he neglected to tell them that he'd sold the house. We once did a property deal with a builder/realtor/rental owner. He owned a lot of houses, sold some, rented others. He'd often build a property and put it on the market for more than the going rate. If it didn't sell, he'd rent it for a few years, and then maybe stick it on the market again. He didn't care if his properties sold or not, really.

He sold us a house and leased it back from us for 10 years. Of course he rented the house out, and his company dealt with tenants and sent us the rent check (usually late). They frequently got things wrong -- deducted for repairs (the lease said not to), or didn't increase the rent when it was supposed to go up, etc.

First thing she should do is call the property manager and offer to fax over a copy of her mortgage.
Women can do anything men can.
But we don't because lots of it's disgusting.

Sorry darlings not on that route anymore so no news. From what I last heard awhile back she said her lawyer kept cracking up laughing...good sign on her end I believe.

Well that would sound like good news -- I'll just assume it meant the judge told the guy to be thankful he's not charging him for wasting his time in addition to having to pay all the costs.
