EW Parking Pwnage

Drove up to our favorite grocery store and saw, parked in the grocery cart return, an MG Midget - all bright and shiny. The cart runner must have just cleared out all the carts and this EW felt the need to park within the steel framework - for added safety one assumes. BTW - the lot was nearly empty. We went in to do our shopping, and when we came out we realized once again how much we love living in a college neighborhood. About two dozen carts were crammed in behind it in a snarl that would take some doing to unravel.

It takes so little to make us smile.

The cart corrals around here are made of aluminum, so they wouldn't have protected the precious car much anyway.

I saw someone's car parked in a cart corral ONCE. One of our corrals at the wholesale club. They were very quickly paged over the PA and told in no uncertain terms to move their car or their car would be towed.

ohhh that WOULD be good J2k!! I work inside a grocery store and Ive never seen anyone park in our cart thingys. Why would you want to do that?? Obviously people are going to put their carts there and damage your car....idiots

With most of the racks around here, you can't do so, being split into two separate lanes, each not much wider than the carts they're supposed to hold. Not even "Smart" cars will fit in that.

That said, the thought occurs to me that given how shopping carts in general seem to treat cars like they have homing beacons on them, maybe the individual in the OP was thinking to get right to the point?
