  • Company T shirt earned me a Glare of Death

About a year ago, My cousin's baby barfed on me, so she gave me a replacement shirt until my shirt is washed.

I was wearing a Vodacom/Vodafone shirt, walked into Rogers looking for change.

The Vodacom T shirt earned me a pair of very nasty Glares of Death.

The second to last job I worked at selling phones, we weren't allowed to use our cell phone on the sales floor unless our phone service was with our company. Hence I couldn't use mine since I got it with a different carrier before I ever got hired at the new place.

Any idea what they thought it said or meant? I'm not aware of Vodacom being offensive.

On the ground that people consider cell companies evil ... like mrDrone used to work for Verizon, we have had verizon since before he worked for them, and *long* after he stopped working for them. We have literally never had a single issue with any facet of our service, we have gotten new phones at appropriate times during our contracts and are in general very satisfied with Verizon. Yet there are people on this and other message boards I am a member of that consider Verizon devils spawn and claim to have never had an instant of good service from them. Probably if they saw mrDrone in one of his Verizon polos would glare and make nasty comments.

Vodacom is a rival cell phone company to Rogers, Telus and Fido.

If you REALLY want to start some trouble (and you're a guy) walk into a lesbian bar wearing a t-shirt that says "Thanks for Nothing!"

                  Its funny 'cause they're gay.

                  Anyway, I think that's hilarious.

I guess I'm glad I have to wear a indistinct collared shirt at my job; I can only imagine the problems I'd run into working while wearing a shirt from The Best Page in the Universe or Dave Kelly's "Purple Pussy" shirt; a shame my Legend of Zelda and Frankie Say Relax shirts have huge holes in them.
