Yes, as all of you have heard, there was a seven year old girl that got killed by the waves from the hurricane.
Last weekend gave me tons of sightings. We had to shut down due to the winds and chop from the storm. I have selected two from the vault.
I don't care if this is shut down! I NEED to get to Frenchboro to see the waves!
This twat waffle came to our terminal in Bass Harbor. If he was a local, I would have understood maybe he has out there, but this guy's car had plates from Missouri of all places.
Me: Sir, as a precaution for Hurricane Bill, the state has closed the ferry.
TW: This is just great, I'm a photographer for a small newspaper, can't you let them take a boat out just for me?
Me: Sorry sir, but that would go against our orders, and we could get in trouble.
TW: But, you must, you see Obama says that citizens can request special permission to do anything, it's the law.
Me:Sir, no it is not, and if it were, I think this would be an exception; you could get injured and or killed out there.
TW: You'll be hearing from my lawyer and the secret service. Leave me alone!
A sighting in Gouldsboro
After the "ferry incident", I left work and drove east to Gouldsboro. Gouldsboro, is a really nice town, and was one of my hot spots for when I hauled stuff.
I have never seen people this "Disaster high" before. The road through Winter Harbor, was partially flooded due to the swells coming DIRECTLY in from the south. The main road was mobbed with people. I was trying to get through, when this guy stopped in the middle of the road, and ordered me to roll down my window. The look on this guys face was absolutely priceless.
Me: Hello
Guy: get the hell out of here! it's coming!
Me: Do you live in Gouldsboro?
Guy: No, actually I'm from New York.
Me: What is coming?
Guy: The end.
While this was going on, a nice long line formed behind me.
Guy: turn back before its too late.
Me: I'm going to continue
Guy: then you will be lost. God bless you.
