I guess 12 people got stuck in an elevator in one of our towers a few nights ago. Okay, the elevator fixer guy was supposed to go to this unbelieveably big waste of time mandatory meeting and the following conversation was heard by a fellow cashier:
EG: Elevator Guy and CL: Clueless lady
EG: I need to go and get those people out of the elevator!
CL: So you're going to miss the class....?
EG: Yes. I am the only one here that can get them out.
CL: hmm... *puts hands on hips* have you talked to your supervisor? This class is mandatory.
EG: There are GUESTS STUCK in the elevator!
CL: *big long sigh* Well, I guess you will have to go since they're guests... But this is really important... There's no one else? You can't just stay for the class and go after?
EG:
NO. I am the ONLY ONE!
CL: Well, I guess you better go then...
Now, had they only been employees would he have had to stay and wait the 20 mins of hearing all the non important crap?! The meeting wasn't even relevant to his job. Those poor people were stuck in there for an hour. I would have panicked. I hate elevators.
That lady is usually very smart and awesome but she sure hit dumbass with that one.
