  • Express Lane EW.

I stopped at my local Walmart on the way home from work to pick up some kitty litter & potato chips. I had 7 items, so I went through the express lane, which is 10 items or less. While I was checking out, this person (she was no lady) came up from behind, and had too many items. The cashier politely informed her of this, and in a very snotty tone, asked the cashier 'you gonna count all the bananas & grapes, too??????' At first, I thought she was just kidding, but I don't think she was! I'm like, oh, jeez! I finished up my transaction, making sure I was as nice to the cashier as possible, to hopefully make up for what was about to come her way.

I got out of there before the transaction started, so I don't know if anything else happened or not. I just hope the b*tch does not complain that the cashier was rude, because the cashier absolutely was not rude.

I felt so sorry for that cashier, having to deal with that EW, because the cashier seemed like a nice person. Excuse me while I weep for humanity....

I'll admit, I'm probably one of the few who counts cat food cans towards the total, but I do it a little differently. Instead of counting each cat food can as one item (these are the tiny ones by the way, not the huge honking ones), I count 5 tins as one item because they do take a while to scan on express (different scanner). Everything else (produce included) gets counted as one item, multiples included (so if you have two loaves of bread, they're considered to be two loaves)
