  • Creepy stalkerish guy in the office building (a bit squicky)

This email was sent out recently by one of our office managers -- it has been edited slightly. Isn't this just lovely? (Our office is the condo association's unofficial "place to report problems to" (not to mention, where FedEx and UPS leave stuff for people who can't be bothered to show up at their offices more than 1-2 times a week, as we pretty much always have someone there from 7am to 7pm six days a week).

The city is doing major roadwork on the corner next to us. Note the bolded section, my emphasis, from when the road workers had the day off.

In some ways, I'm a little bit glad that my reduction in hours has meant that I am not in that office much anymore...

One of the ladies from [a lawyer's office in the building] came up to tell us about a construction worker who has been somewhat following her. He has also made comments to some of the other women in their office. This morning the construction people were not here and when she came into the building at 8:45, the construction worker was coming down the stairs, pants unzipped and fully exposed. She wanted to alert us to a potential problem as well as report the incident. He is [description redacted].

Just want to let everyone know to be aware of potential danger.

I got an update from the office -- the girl who was being followed supposedly told the construction supervisor, but we doubt she's actually gone to the police -- She really needs to do both, and we're trying to discreetly impress that need upon her (different office, same building).

The cops should have been called that day -- i know from having seen them that there's often a cop under our building at night (not sure if he's security, taking a nap, or just watching for speeders), so there's someone there to watch. Better late than never, and this guy is bold enough to be a problem.

The ladies here have been spreading the word in the building, and, it's worth filing a report about even if it's just walking up to the police car and asking them to keep an eye out.
