  • I think they are closed.

I was walking to a friends house at about 5:30 last night. On my way, I walked past a bank that normally closes at 5pm. Picture the scene.

The manager is setting the alarm, the two bank employees are stood at the door with their coats on, laughing and talking. The manager then walks outside, get her keys out and starts locking the doors.

Manager: Thanks for today guys, have a good night. See you tomorrow.
    Employees: Bye.

All of a sudden, this lady appears out of no where, burshes past them and attempts to go through the door! The manager has already half locked the doors, so she doesn't get in.

    SC: Oh! Are you closed?
    Manager: Yes we are.
SC: Oh! Well I was wondering if you could help me...
Manager: I'm sorry, but we are closed now. If you come back at 9am tomorrow...

The manager is now walking away towards her car.

SC: I just need to pick up something!
Manager: I'm sorry, but we closed 30 minutes ago. Come back tomorrow and we'll help you out.

Manager is now in her car and is speeding off. The two employees are long gone. The SC turns and faces the bank, looking completely confused.

    "But you're still here!"

Had that at my warehouse job. Manager unlocked the door to let me out, and a customer sped up and tried to run into the store. Manager let him in when he wouldn't stop pounding the door.

      But...Stores don't CLOSE!!!

And Employees never go home, they just hook-up to their docking stations to charge, waiting to serve the next Human Master!

Actually, in most customer service enviornments, the slave bots go into the closet at shift's end to recharge their batteries. Such action activates another sleeping roboslave to wake up and get to work.
