Seriously.

One pet peeve I have is I hate asking for refills. I understand if it is busy this might be overlooked but the number of times the waitress stopped by she didn't once offer a refill, I had to ask each time.

I worked as a server years ago and found, more often than not, you could keep people relatively happy if you kept their drinks filled...even on a busy night when the food takes a long time coming out. Just keeping up with something as simple as refills shows your customers that you are attentive to their needs, even if you can't control when they get their food.
