I'm confused as to how you can miss Disneyland. Explain how you managed it?
I don't know. I drove around what was, according to my map, the general area for half the morning and gave up. Never even saw a sign.

Went to Walt Disney World in September.

My wife, friends and I kicked around the idea of starting a website called "Stupid things I saw at Disney" we saw so much stupid.

I haven't got around to posting them here, mainly because the trip was overall so good that I've forgotten half of them (or blocked them out).

Of course Customer #1 never DREAMED of making sure they brought their OWN sweaters!

Sometimes, Disney really does get screwed because of their policy to ensure every guest is perfectly satisfied; it just gets taken advantage of!

I really liked last Halloween event at Disneyland Paris (or whatever they're calling the place thses days). It was packed as Hell, but I really had a blast. Most of the fun was trying to keep our 60+ crew together, as well as helping the few heavily costumed ones. If the names Rakhan/Scritch ring any bells for you, I was the one helping him. Best. Halloween. EVAR!

Care to share? By PM, if nothing else?
If I could remember/find it, I would. My wife used to read it quite a bit, until in got invaded by a lot of guests that used it to gripe about lack of service. She said it went down hill at that point.

Where did you get that map? I want to never trust that company. Ever.

Oh, no, I said, Disney Land burned down.

People like that should not be allowed in Disneyland. They destroy the magic.

Hubs and I spent a few days in Disneyland/California Adventure on our honeymoon. I had a blast. Peter Pan has been my favorite since I was a wee Padawan, so we have to ride it at least once a day while we're there. Haunted Mansion is nice, and they had a new Indiana Jones ride that was AWESOME! Mr Jedi didn't like Tower of Terror all that much (weak tummy), but I loved it.

Next time we're going to Disney World so I can introduce him to the wonders of Epcot's World Showcase.

At a Wal-Mart in Dallas (TX), if I remember rightly.

I used to work mornings at one of the resorts at Disney so I usually hit the parks after my shift. I saw a lot of stupid both at work and at the parks.

Cast Members have to be polite and smile all the time or else they will get written up. Yes, I was written up for not smiling.

My roommates and I got lost in the orange groves behind Magic Kingdom.

I'd love to see that site, Crossbow.

Somewhere, I've got the url for the Disney cast version of this place. That makes for some really interesting reading....
I'm sure it would; I too would love to read their stories.

Perhaps Nekojin should print up some CS cards and hand them to the cast members on the next trip?

I know what Space Mountain is. I won't ride it.
Me neither. I don't like roller coasters in general (a notable exception is the old wood coaster at Whalom Park). The exterior of Tower of Terror was fascinating, but when I saw what the ride actually was...ehhhh, looks too intense for me. I hung out on a bench with my nose in a book

I love the glider-sim ride at California Adventure though.

I used to know someone who worked at Disney in FL...most of the time he mocked the uniform (IIRC it was some ungodly color combination that nobody sane would wear voluntarily). Sadly I don't remember the few SC stories he had.

Eh. I don't mind Tower of Terror, but it's not my favorite ride either. Soarin' is awesome, I will admit.

As for the uniforms, I agree, mostly. I do like the shirts the front gate people at Epcot wear. Ended up joking with one about buying it from him (it probably would have fit, too.) Last time we were at Epcot, the wife and I took a walking tour that went behind the scenes. One of the stops was in wardrobe, so we got to see all of the uniforms. There were literally thousands of them, of every size and style. Really cool. Everything is barcoded, even the socks. Cast members check out a week's worth at a time, and then bring them back. Never have to do laundry. ;-)
