  • Collague as a SC?

    Hiya!
Ever experienced rudeness or stupidity from a collague/staff from the same company? I was shocked how many SC's actually had staff discount cards to the company our book shop was part of. Some resident-SC's were quite well-known for their lousy attitude, like one nasty lady from cosmetic department (like we didn't know who she was and where she worked). Rudeness itself is unforgivable, but shouldn't people who use the same kind of register and who know the company policy as well as you undertand what you're capable of and what you're allowed to do... sheesh.

Best (worst) example of a SC/co-worker:
SC:Hi, I got an e-mail notification that my books have arrived.

I go to the stock room, but there's only one book. I bring it to the SC and ask, did she get notification for both of the books or just from that one. She claims that she had received notifications for the books she ordered, so I return to the stockroom and turn it upside down. Nothing. I go back to the SC and she's not too happy. I apologise and tell her that I still couldn't find the book, but that'll I'll check from the computer the status of her order.
SC:Actually, I had the notification for just one book. (ahem...didn't I ask that, like, a thousand times)
me: (wanting desperately to punch her in the face) Well that's the reason why only one book had arrived.
    SC:But it's the same book!
me:It doesn't matter. If you did two separate orders, they don't always arrive the same day, even if you did the orders during the same day.
SC:but but but...bitchbitchmoanmoan...I'll just have that one *flashes her staff discount card*

At least with colleagues who are SCs you can tell them to stuff their whining, which you can't do with the public.

Barefootgirl, that's true if they are collagues you know. But if they are whining SC/collagues who you have never met (they still work for the same company) and who have guts to treat you like s***, they are likely to complain if you tell them to stuff it.
But, like I said, you can treat collagues you know in a different way. Like taking veeeeery loooong time to check their signature and giving them suspicious looks -always a winner
