I bought a female 2-days ago from Superpetz to breed with my male. After getting them used to each-others' scents by switching bedding, I go to introduce them to each other...Only to find she already had babies! Apparently, I bought her pregnant (either that or my male is like Chuck Norris; he can get a woman pregnant just by LOOKING at her). This pet store has never been able to give me an answer to any question I've ever asked (if you can even find an employee who's not hiding in the back, or not too busy texting to talk to you), and couldn't even tell me if the hamsters were male or female (Other stores have locations that sell all male or all female). The employees even tried to discourage me from buying her, saying "You know dwarf hamsters are mean? They bite all the time!"
Umm, not the greatest sales pitch I've ever heard. Maybe because you're chasing the animals around while wearing a giant flapping leather work glove on your hand that you previously used to handle the snakes?
Oh well, 5-hamsters for the price of 1; but I think this is my last time going to that pet store. I only went this time because nobody else had dwarf hamsters.
