I was just told this by a mutual friend who is involved, as I am, in a live-action medieval gaming group.
We HAD a player we called Skidmark (long story!) He was rude, never bathed, ignored all the game rules and several times hit-and-run other people's vehicles at the campsite.
Apparenty, Skidmark carpooled to the games with another kid; I'll call him 'Steve; a really quiet and polite guy.' Skidmark worked for his mother at her company. Steve was a fellow employee.
We began to realize after a while that Steve never had any resources at the game. He was always 'losing' weapons, coin, 'magic items', etc. We knew the kid had been collecting stuff with us, but he would never tell us where his stuff had gone. We helped him-out at gave him replacements.
Then one day, Skidmark started bragging about how he had been stealing all of Steve's stuff in the game; even Steve's personal items like (real) money, camping gear, etc. Skidmark had apparently been threatening Steve that if Steve didn't give him the stuff he wanted, he would tell his mother that Steve had done stuff at work and get him fired; so Steve had no choice (note, Steve had not done ANYTHING wrong at work).
Skidmark was then banned from that chapter of the game by the local manager. No word yet on whether Steve received any retaliation at his job.
