Ah, the funnest thing I did in WoW for ages was get into a occolus normal group by mistake.

I didn't notice until I checked their levels, all 77-79.

They didn't have a clue what to do. Where totally lost. So I though to myself: What the hell, just help em out.

They were incredibly grateful, because usually people just shout and leave, if something is not working.

Also one of the reasons I quit the game. Obnoxious assholes that scream at you, when you're not doing good. How about you help the guy instead?

That is what makes me love Dungeons and Dragons Online. The guys in there are awesomely helpful.

It's also why I went the Private Server direction. The server I'm on now is a Mom & Pop server. There are parents and their children playing here, and old friends and family. The last time I heard serious shouting on the server was when someone had a birthday. As a server developer, I set up a neat little birthday event for everyone. We had a blast that evening. ^-^

I suck at PvP. I mean I could do okay, but I'm infinitely better at PvE. I stick mainly to the crafting side of things. My Draenei Paladin just reached 450 Mining. She's level 44 now or something. It was a LOT of smelting that did it. XD The nodes I was mining were around peoples' houses on the server though. Yeah, we're building our own houses. It f'ing rawks. Server Webdev built a fortress. It's pretty impressive.

Is Emerald Dream open on your server and if so, what would I have to do to get an invite?

I can't make any promises as to time commitment overall, but I really, really, really want to stick my nose into the Emerald Dream and they've cut off all known access on live again.

The staff (Me) are(/is) more than friendly enough to let you take a peek. There's not much there, but I'm just as happy to explore it as you are. I mean, good lord, it's just a game. Why shouldn't we be allowed to just turn on a fly mode, crank the fly speed to mach speed, and fly around such a beautiful yet unfinished landscape? When I see you in-game, you have but to ask. *bows* I even created an orb to give people who just want to fly around the game undisturbed, so they remain essentially invulnerable. Can't attack anything while it's equipped though.

The server is running a relatively old WotLK setup, (Only half of Ulduar is there.) and we're based on TrinityCore2, with the TrinityDatabase 0.0.5 database right now, out of I think, 0.0.7. We're on patch 3.1.3 right now, going to 3.2.2a within a month, I hope. I'll give you links if you'd like. (Via PM.) 100% of the server population is very, very friendly and welcoming. If they're not, they have the fist of justice to deal with, considering that the server owner is the sweetest, kindest, wisest lady you'll ever meet.

Is there any PVP there at all? Is the server highly populated? Might be fun to have an alt just hanging out there, if you guys are okay with that...?

I've been playing almost as long as you (on and off though) and I just got to lvl
75. About a week ago, in Violet Hold, some guy started picking my poor pally apart, criticizing my every move! It was right after a busy night at work; I had tons of SC's that night, I was just trying to unwind in front of Good Ole' WoW. I said "Screw this!, I don't need to take people's shit..Im OUTTA work!" quit the group, and happily waited the 20 minutes for another random....got into Old Kingdom, with a good group, got past first boss, and guess what?

I got disconnected!
