So last night, the bf and I and our favorite couple went bowling. I'm actually starting to get my skill back. It also helps if I have a couple of drinks to ease that stiffness I get in my arm right before I send the ball down.
Anywho, it was getting close to 11 pm, and we notice the lane next to us opens up. A young dirty wanskta looking guy, along with an equally nasty young guy friend, and a little girl came walking down to get their shoes on and pick out the balls.
Poor little girl, couldn't have been more than 3, in her pajamas and her hair was a mess. She looked like she had just woken up. She really did NOT want to be there or go bowling.
One of the employees set up the bumpers on the gutter so the little girl could play, and her dumb daddy set her up to play her first frame, but she really didn't want to. Now, she didn't throw a tantrum or do anything loud, but from watching, you could tell that the little girl wanted to be at home ASLEEP, as most kids her age tend to be in bed by now!
My friends and I were joking that her stupid dad and his friend took the little girl bowling so late so that they could pick up girls, and the dumb dad was going to use the little girl as bait....you know "Look at me, I'm such a great dad, I take my little girl bowling and do stuff with her so she can turn out to be a great kid!"
That wasn't going to work. If I were single, I would have thought of him as a moron for taking his irritable kid out so late, and if I wasn't around my friend's husband who is a sometimes bad tempered ex Marine, I would have opened my mouth and said something smart to that guy, like "You're not going to get any chicks doing this. Your kid wants to go home and go to bed. Why not try another time?" or even if it wasn't to pick up girls....still......you're a parent now. You can go bowling when you get a babysitter or the Mom has the kid.
Not even 15 minutes into it (although she only bowled one frame and the rest of the time was the stupid dad pleading with her to stay and keep trying while the kid kept telling her daddy she wanted to go home), they finally left.
Poor kid. That's all I will say.
