Seriously, it's 11 AM, I'm sleeping...
The family phone rings once, I let it go through the usual four rings, and hear no answering machine message. Not even ten seconds later, it rings again, and I let it go again, thinking, "Okay, Mom, if it's you, just leave a message." No message, and the phone starts ringing again... this time, the person actually leaves a message, and through my sleep fogged brain, I hear, "I had a stroke and a heart attack." That wakes me up, and I get up and dressed, manage to catch the end of the message, which is very random and vague. I pop the message up on the handset, and listen to the full message, which basically goes: "I'm sorry, I keep calling the wrong number, I'm trying to get hold of my wife and keep dialing your number by mistake. My name is ____, and my son's name is ____ Jr. I'm in the hospital, I think, and I think my room's on the second floor... here's my number if you want to call me (Ed. Note: WHY would I want to call a stranger who admitted to calling the wrong number 3 times?) Now you know that you should eat right and exercise and yap yap yap (Yes, I know, I had a stroke too, thanks.)"
Something about the message just screams that someone was trying to scam me...
