Today I was in Boston taking a vocational assessment. Things went well, so I took the subway to Alewife station, then got on the bus to go home. On the way past a little island in the highway, there's a red light. We stop, and one of the passengers gets up and starts tapping on the window. Naturally, I'm curious about what this is about... Then he opens up the window, and yells out "Hey, you! No!"
Turns out there was, on the other side, about thirty feet away from the bus, a homeless man asking for spare change. The homeless guy looks up, and the man flips him off, and sits down with a satisfied grin on his face.
That was just... It was surprising how much of an asshole people can be. Suppose a homeless guy asked you for change, and you said 'no' and flipped him off. TOTAL dick move, obviously. But rapping on the window of a bus THIRTY FEET AWAY, then YELLING TO GET HIS ATTENTION, THEN saying no... That's... I mean, that's a COMMITTED asshole. That's all I can say. Definitely committed.

Luckily, karma exists. We'll see where nature takes it from there.
