I guess this guy is an SC twice over, once for being an apartment resident, and again with the tow drivers!
So I was outside my apartment watering the plants when I see a tow truck pulled-up outside our row (4-doors/apartments to a building, buildings face each-other across the parking lot). The stop by my neighbors car. Oooooo....I remembered the car because it had a big warning sticker on it about a month ago and she hadn't known what it meant and asked me. If you haven't given the apartment office your vehicle information, or if your registration or inspection is expired, the complex will tow you to ensure someone's not dumping vehicles/taking spaces away from residents/etc. I think it's fair. So the tow guys ask me if that's my car; I told them it was Apt So-and-sos and they let me know they were towing it and would leave a business card if the neighbors asked me. Just then my neighbor's husband/boyfriend/baby daddy comes storming out of the door, shirtless, and gets between the tow drivers and the car. At this point they already had the ramp positioned and were pulling down the chains. Of course he asked what was going on. They told him the apartment had asked it be towed, and they'd not had a response from their warning, and that his reg/inspection was expired. He was saying "I'm getting to it today! I'm moving it today!" They told him it was too late and tried to hook-up the chains. So he began darting between them and the car, getting in the way every time they tried to attach the chains. They finally told him to stop or they were calling the police. THEN he got tough, throwing his chest out, saying "You think you scare me, huh!?" He called-up to his girl to bring him a shirt and come-out and move the car. He's reeaaallly lucky the tow drivers decided to let him move the car, but nooo, he keeps arguing and threatening even after moving the car....to the other side of the lot!
Umm, no, that's still apartment parking. Soooo the tow truck cruised over and started trying to hook it up again! So the guy confronted the tow drivers again (the insults were starting to get pretty personal!) and distracted them long enough for his girl to peel-out and leave the apartment complex. After the tow truck left the guy was all puffed-out and prideful as he strutted by me and said "Think they can scare me? Think they can mess with me? I was about to go get my gun!"

Aannnd so glad I'm moving! I called the apartment office to let them know about my crazy neighbors. Never had a problem with them before, but maybe they're getting ready to snap...
