I recently found an awesome as hell doctor. I was so excited because out here all we have are idiot doctors who are jerks and don't really listen to you. This doc did and I told her she was my hero.
Flash forward to my next appointment. I get up to the receptionist and she tells me: Unfortunately Dr. Hero isn't covered under your insurance. So, we're going to have to switch you to Dr. Lazy.
Me: But... I picked her out of my HMO Book and set it up with the insurance...
RE: receptionist.
She explains it being a bit mistake and something about Dr. Hero not having her credentials yet and currently working on getting them. I am still sad and very upset about it. I've never had a doctor I've liked before.
So RE talks to someone behind her about making me an appointment with Mr. Lazy.
RE to her CW: Do you think Dr. lazy will be wiling to do this procedure?
CW: I don't know, he's kind of lazy.
She was not joking.
Me:
So, they took away my awesome Mrs. Hero Doc and my replacement is Dr. Lazy. If I were them I would have NEVER mentioned how lazy he was infront of the customer!!! Now I am dreading my appointment because I am worried he's going to be a jerk.
The RE was nice and very apologetic I was very disappointed and thrown back by the "lazy" comment. I told her it sucks but I understand.
So we shall see next week if Dr. Lazy blows me off like the rest. I liked Dr. Hero she knew what she was talking about, was funny and very down to earth. She fixed one of my problems with just one visit. *sigh*
