MIL and her BF were at the courthouse the other day for a ticket BF got sometime before they started dating. While they're waiting for BF to be called, some suckiness ensues (some douchebag).
The Judge
DB: Douchebag
the Kid: Douchebag's 3 yo son
Kid is running around the courtroom, talking loudly while his "daddy" was talking to the judge. The judge starts to get upset and said to DB that a courtroom is not a place for children. The judge was nice enough to give the kid a toy to keep him quiet. DB tells the judge that he just moved from out of state and that he has nobody to watch him. So the judge tells DB that he'll plead not guilty for him (forgot what MIL what it was for) and arrange his court date for another day so that DB can arrange for a sitter while he's at court. DB starts going off on how he wants to change his plea, he's an American citizen and he can speak for himself and that it's not the judge's job to do that, blah blah blah crap. The judge tells him that it IS his job to do so and to speak for the person on what is best for them, DB keeps going on and on about it until the judge gets pissed and asked the bailiff to escort DB out of the courtroom. So after DB gets escorted out of the courtroom, he's storming out of the courthouse dragging the kid with him and poor little thing is saying "Daddy, you're making my arm hurt!". The bailiff goes back in the chambers and then these 2 other bailiffs (big dudes) haul off DB and DCF hauls off with his kid (to take him to another family member) . So now not only does DB have charges on him for his case but also contempt of court and child abuse! Served him right for being an asshole.
