I never go shopping for clothes. Ever. Last time I went shopping for clothes was last August when I went shoe shopping since I won $1,100 a week before in AC. So my mom asked if I needed any clothes and yea, I need new jeans. She had a coupon for Kohls so that's where we went.
First off, I was trying some pants on and 36x34s didn't fit, too long so I needed 36x32s (I miss have a 34 waist, damn you college!). My mom kept finding new jeans in the same size after I told her I needed a different size. I especially didn't care that they look nice. I'm working in a lab all summer, any clothes I wear will probably get ruined.
Then when we got to the cashier, my mom suddenly had three coupons for $10 off any purchase. As I suspected, it's one coupon per purchase which my mom refused to accept. The cashier turned to her manager which just repeated the policy. Not good enough for my mom. She bought a pack of socks with one coupon, had me buy one pair of jeans with another coupon, and then she went to another register to buy the other pair of jeans with the third coupon. Then when we were leaving she was giving me crap for being embarrassed. Sorry I follow the rules, Mom.
To add insult to injury, my mom has been calling everyone in the family to gossip about how she beat the system and I was embarrassed by her. Yes, I am embarrassed. I'm embarrassed my 50 year old mother who was born and has lived her the entire time refuses to read and follow rules like a kindergartner can do.
