Had this happen last night, was just too tired (and distracted by pizza) to post it after work.
So it was a slow evening at work, which I didn't mind since it gave me time to straighten up and check our power food for expired ones. In walks this guy, I guess maybe 18-19ish? He comes up to the counter and asks about a job application. I give him the spiel about how we don't do paper ones anymore, it's online, here's the card with the website and that the next hiring sequence is the end of July. He seems nice enough and is actually dressed up so I'm mentally giving him props. He starts to ask me a question about the application process, and his phone rings. He grabs it, walks away, and proceeds to chat with one of his friends (I could overhear part of the conversation).
I shrug and help the customers that had come up and when I'm done, he came back over. I answered his question, his phone rings, same thing as above. I go to stock / check expired food. He pops up a couple of minutes later, joking about how his friends keep calling him, such a busy life, yadda yadda yadda. Then he starts asking about service projects that we do. He leans against the food display, and leans in towards me and starts telling me how since he's over 18, he's technically a leader in his scout troop and how he has all this influence and could bring so much more business to us. Now I may be a little dense about people flirting with me, but he was so bad that I couldn't miss it. Luckily - his phone rings again!
When he finally gets off the phone again, I'm back behind the counter; it blocks people from intruding upon my bubble. He was very close to intruding upon my bubble at the food display. He starts up again with how much influence he has in his troop and I cut him off because I'm tired of him. I gave him the Outreach Coordinator's name for if the scouts want to participate in our service projects and ask if he had any more questions. He starts talking about his troop again and I have to cut him off again with an "Ok, that's nice. Any more questions?" Again, more blathering about his "influence" *sigh*
So I pull out a little bit of the bitch and proceed to list my extensive work/leadership roles in both BSA and GSA, as well as my stepdad's, fiance's, his younger brother, my younger brother's, and two of my aunts extensive work in the local Boy Scouts and Sea Scout troops. He shut up and left after that.

The only involvement we have in the Scouts down here is that my sister participated in the phone book dropoffs (With the rest of us).
