This is the part where I channel Jules from "Pulp Fiction," and do his lines about whether or not they speak English in What.

This post reminds me a bit of a guy whom I encountered in an AOL chat room some years back - he used so much slang/abbreviations when typing that I honestly thought either English wasn't his first language, he had a learning disability, or he wasn't well-educated. Turns out he apparently wasn't any of the three, and got REALLY pissed off at me for having that impression of him.Last edited by KellyHabersham; 06-26-2010, 06:40 PM.

In a text based environment if you can't type worth beans (due to a complete and utter lack of effort, not due to some disability) then you're going to come across as a complete moron.
Its like showing up wearing flipflops and old, stained, ragged sweatpants and nothing else. No one is going to take you seriously.
If you cannot take the minimal effort to present your thoughts in a coherent, understandable way, then you obviously your thoughts are of no great value. If you don't even value your own thoughts to put in the effort to make yourself understandable even at the level of a 6 year old, then you're not worth listening to.
If your ideas you want to express had any value, you would communicate them in an understandable way, right?
