Today I dropped my oldest daughter off at summer camp. She’s going to be gone for the week. After I had finished checking her in with the camp and having the nurse check her over to confirm she is healthy I sent her back to the car with her sister to get her things. While I was waiting I talked to the camp director who was standing there and asked her about getting transport to the Tree Houses where my daughter was staying. I had hurt my foot two days ago and didn’t think I would be able to walk all the way there and back unassisted. She said she would get someone when my girls came back. Up walks this woman to us and states; “I am NOT happy! Do you remember our three hour phone conversation?” The director pulls the lady away so they can talk more privately. I have no idea what was said and honestly don’t care. Not my business. However, I was looking in that general direction while still waiting for my girls. Suddenly the Director’s eyes rolled up she let out a strange sound and fell over onto the split rail fence behind her breaking the fence and then hit the ground. My reaction was “OH MY GOD!” The EW put on a cat butt face and stormed off back towards the area where I assume her daughter was to be staying without so much as bending over to see if she was still breathing. The two girls (they hire from the local collage) checking in campers rushed over there to see what happened and radioed for emergency help. She came too shortly there after and ambulance was called. I went ahead and walked my daughter to her campsite because I couldn’t help and wasn’t going to bother anyone about transport with such an emergency going on. By the time I got back the EMT were there and I presume getting ready to take her to hospital. I didn’t see the EW again, thankfully!

It sounds like an epileptic episode, from the reading, although it could also be heat-related fainting. Either way, it was a turkey move to just walk away from someone who just dropped in front of you for no apparent reason.Quoth Exaspera View PostI hope she's okay! I wonder what caused her to faint? EW gave her a Vulcan pinch or something?

"Failure to render assistance in an emergency" can get you in serious trouble, at least in Germany.
A nice little scare of being sued might be a good idea.
The poor director deserves some compensation. I hope she's OK.

As a former camp counselor/arts and crafts teacher for 4 years (plus my own kid camp time), I know for a fact that even a camp with 600 kids like mine, things quiet down CONSIDERABLY after the damned parents leave. We all breathed a sigh of relief after the last parent left. Seriously, they whine more than the first-years with homesickness.

by the description, i was also thinking epileptic seizure; i hope she's ok.
i think there are states where you are required to render aid if someone's in distress and can be held accountable if you don't aid them. not sure about the details or which states have it, though.look! it's ghengis khan!
Sorry, but while I can do many things, extracting heads from anuses isn't one of them. (so sayeth the irv)
