I'd take my business elsewhere if I got told to calm down because someone was yelling at me.
Yeah. Makes me wonder what that manager would do if the SC had actually attacked the OP...called the police to take down the victim?

Honestly don't know what the manager saw or didn't, and at the time I didn't care. On a good day I get jumpy when people get in my personal space without permission (friends, family, etc have permanent permission, but even then sometimes I feel uncomfortable hehe). Was feeling like a wounded grizzly, and the SC decided to poke the wounded grizzly. Not a good thing.

The antibiotics are helping, a lot, and I am feeling better. Wearing the mask till it is gone entirely though, cause I try to consider others. Again, I don't know how contagious it is, but why take chances.

Edit : I knew I am not the best person to deal with when I am sick. I should have used the drive through, cause less chance of infecting others and such. Would have saved everybody a lot of hassle.

The manager was probably freaked out too. Btw, awesome with the line... it sounded so bad-ass.
Feel better soon Myt. *gives soothing cup of perfect mint tea*

Sounds to me like the manager came in after the SC tried to cut in line and may not have seen it. Not that that excuses what he said to the OP of course.

And I can't blame you for being snippy. My already-low tolerance for BS of all kinds wanes even further when I'm sick.

I hope you get well soon!

That guy would have been hard to deal with if you were perfectly healthy and having the best day ever, let alone on a day when you feel like the walking dead and have to deal with everyday annoyances. And for the manager to snap at you after hearing exactly what had happened between you and that jerk doesn't help at all.

Hopefully you won't have to deal with anymore jerks while you're sick

Excuse me? You weren't the one trying to jump line. Jackass manager. Surprised he didn't give the asshat SC a gift card for his "trouble".

this is america, get in line, shut the f up and wait your turn.
We might have lines here, but we need some of the Brits to come over. They know how to queue.

the manager wasn't on his game; you had every right to be pissed at that douche for his behavior. impatience is NEVER an excuse (nor is any other) for invading personal space; i would think that the mask would clue him in to keep back, but apparently, his ew tunnel vision prevented logic from kicking in.

this is america, get in line, shut the f up and wait your turn.

Also agree . . . you were not sucky at all, especially when the other guy called the real SC on his BS.

What the manager should have said was, "Sorry for the problem sir. Hope you feel better, soon."

    Speaking of which . . .

I hope you feel better soon. Take ALL your antibiotics!

I'm with Whiskey on this one. You didn't do anything wrong, and that manager has no business being in customer service with that kind of attitude.

*offers homemade chicken noodle soup* I hope you get better soon!

"Sir, you need to calm down. That's no way to behave in a public place."
where was this dbag when the SC was going off? Oh, standing right there. I'd take my business elsewhere if I got told to calm down because someone was yelling at me.

started a topic Poor RX people

    Poor RX people

This could possibly be long...just fair warning, and possible self sighting here also. Cause I was a bear

For sometime now I had a cough that just would NOT go away, sore throat, fever, and it was getting hard to breath. Drove myself to the hospital, waited a long time there (while feeling miserable). Doctors tell me I have walking pneumonia. Tell me that it will go away on it's own, but give me some antibiotics, and then tag me and release me into the wild (ok so the 'tag' was just a armband, and the wild was to go get the prescription filled). They also give me one of those masks, you know to help cut down on spreading it (I assume).

So, I am feeling absolutely miserable, but am functional. I probably look like something that came out of Land of the Dead or some such. I go to the pharmacy, mask securely in place..and get in a line that seemed to stretch out to the cars (ok it probably didn't, but by now I was just wanting to crawl into some deep dark hole).

Person behind me doesn't know what 'personal space' means. Here I am, with a 'this person is possibly contagious' mask on, and they are constantly bumping into me, pushing, and doing the 'look past to see how long the line is' bit.

Gets old, and I turn around and say. "Personal space, learn it, respect it."

Person goes into the "They need to hurry up. Don't they know that SOME of us have things to do?"

I turn back around before I say something I will regret, just wanting the world to go all explodie. A few seconds later. "Hey, mask man. Why don't you let me in front of you? I mean, you should be in the hospital if you are THAT sick." meaning the mask of course.

I turn around slowly. "This mask is to keep others from getting sick. You are waiting your turn, deal with it."

Person decides that I might be to 'ill' to stop them, and pushes to try to get in front of me.

Now I'm sick, have waited in the hospital AND this line, and I admit..here is where I probably became an SC (warning ... there will be language).

"Oh no! I've waited in the hospital line, and this line for what seems like days. (The sc thing of time dialation). You are NOT going to push your way to the front."

A manager comes up, and the person behind me changes tactics. "This person is trying to push their way in line! Do something about it!"

The people in front of me had made it a point to ignore what was going on behind them (which I don't blame them), but the person behind the other SC (besides me that is) speaks up. "That's . He (meaning me) was before this jerk, and this jerk tried to push his way past him."

Other SC had the face..and starts trying to backpedal. "It's all a misunderstanding, just got a little to close to the guy and he freaked."

By this time I had had it. I brought out my evil voice. "You have no idea what freaked out is, but I can show you."

Everybody takes a step back. Seeing as I look like a zombie (probably), not sure I blamed them. The manager tries to calm things down, and the sc was kind of panicking, afraid I would go postal or something. They suddenly decide that it is not so important to get their prescription filled. With a "I don't have time for this, I am going to X down the street, at least they know what customer service is." he bolts.

The manager of the place stays there a bit, looking at me, probably trying to decide if it would be worth risking throwing me out. Since the other guy left, he just said. "Sir, you need to calm down. That's no way to behave in a public place."

To add to my SCness I looked at him. "Don't start. I am just trying to get my medicine and get better. I know I probably shouldn't be shopping, but I came here to get BETTER. Guy was on my last nerves."

Manager decides not to press the issue, and I get my medicine and leave. Yes I know I should have probably used the drive through, and that it wasn't THAT big of a deal. Sick, grumpy, and personal space issues make Mytical an SC.
