I'm odd, I'm reeeeally sensitive to bass notes. Stereos, sonic booms, fireworks, etc. anything that has a deep bass sound actually hurts me physically .

I thought that was how music being too loud was normally perceived?

I've had the fun of being in traffic next to people with the music blaring and the bass making my teeth rattle.

One time I drowned them out by rolling the windows down and playing Fleetwood Mac really loudly. Another time I blasted Anime music.

The looks I got were priceless. Like I'm the crazy one for blasting *my* music?

I so need to try this. :3 I have pretty much all the music from the following anime: Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Sailor Moon (the original version, of course), and CardCaptor Sakura. As well as more music from various anime, but by artists that have done songs for anime that I'm more familiar with. *half-tempted, next time such a situation comes up, to just blare the theme from Hetalia Axis Powers *

You know, I've never understood why people have those stereos on steroids. I see a lot of these people, years down the road, needing hearing aids or being stone deaf. Plus, in some cases, the stereos are probably worth more than the car.

My ex-husband is 43 and has had one of those booming stereos for years.

He's never outgrown it.

Even though we get along well, I can hardly stand to be in the same room with him for more than a few minutes, because he's half-deaf now and talks SOOO freakin' loud.

Hmm. Lately whenever I see someone cruising past in a shitbox with an uberstereo, thumping the pavement with their bass-heavy "music," I feel tempted to say, "Crank that beatbox louder, I can't hear how small your dick is."

But then, that's become like my trademark saying now.

The anime song I had on my ipod at the time was CardCaptor Sakura's Catch you Catch me in japanese....gave me the gigglefits to drown out rap with that.

I've jacked up the stereos in my cars to such levels and it's fun to pull up next to the bass mobiles and fire up Motorhead or some such thing and introduce the heathens to the joys of the electric guitar...

I'm under the impression that they believe loud music makes-up for having a crappy car!

I see this on an almost daily basis on my street, but then we do get a good amount of traffic (my street is a main connector that links two major roads.)

Some of these cars are absolutely laughable . . . especially the ones with the crappy paint jobs that's peeling in several places or bubbled up, Rent-And-Roll wheels and a motor that sounds like it needs to have a portable oxygen tank pulled behind it.

But they just gotta have that Mobile Jukebox on steroids blaring for all the world to hear. And half the time, you can't make out the words: all you're hearing is the massive THUMP-THUM-THUMP.

These dudes are seriously going to need double hearing aids by the time they hit the age of 35 at the rate they're going.

And all I can think of to reply to that is:

Crank it up . . . we can't hear how small your dick is.

Oooh! No I haven't. o.o Well...no, that's not true. I've heard two of the German ones. I've heard the German version of the theme from Sailor Moon Stars and...I think the other one was Moon Revenge.
