STORY #1
Alright, to start, I did not actually see the person do this - I only came across what they did (I wish I HAD seen them do it, I absolutely HATE people like them and will not hesitate to confront them when *caught*)
While shopping one day a few week ago, I was walking through the frozen food area and happened to look at a cube-shaped shelving unit to see the someone had - rather than learning 3 feet to the left where the freezers were - had thrown a tube of frozen cookie dough and a package of frozen cherry-cheesecake 3 feet to the right on the cube-shelf, behind a small box of "can toppers". The items had apparently been sitting there for some time, as the cookie dough was a uniform room temperature.
It might seem trivial to some, but it really irks me, especially since - as I said - the fool could have just as easily moved the same distance to the left and put them in the freezer, but instead seemed to deliberately put them somewhere that they would - when found - would cause them to be thrown out.
STORY #2
Being a "touristy" area, the city has put a number of highly visible signs in the middle of various roads, reminding drivers about THE LAW concerning "yielding to pedestrians in crosswalks". However, even with all the money wasted on the signs, it is a rare day in he - excuse me - the city when a driver will actually STOP for pedestrians in the crosswalks. Normally, Drivers will play a demented form of "chicken", either forcing the pedestrians to double-time to avoid being hit, or the drivers will simple veer around the pedestrian and keep going.
And to add to the insult, a friend actually documented on video this deranged behavior by drivers in the city. He was stopped by the police for doing so, and threatened with a Disorderly Conduct citation!
And the police did not want to see or even care about the video.
I do not think this is a city so much as it is a giant insane asylum.
