Shame on the manager for not doing the right thing and sending the information to both the store's and the customer's insurance policies. "Business expense" means that he will have to make up that loss in sales, most likely by raising prices.

Since my wife is a RPh there,she has no real knowledge of what store management will do,one would assume they reported it to their insurance company.As far as them raising prices to cover a relatively minor bit of damage,it's a Smith's,a division of Kroger,possibly the largest grocery chain in the US,I seriously doubt that a few hundred dollars in repairs will affect their bottom line in the slightest.
