    Let's move on.
If you wish to debate the "McDonald's coffee" lawsuit, start a thread at fratching.
This is not the place to do it.

Let's get back on the topic of the sucky customer.

And I'll point out, by their own article, the coffee was being served at the proper temperature of ~185 degrees. The lawsuit was more about the supposed need for a warning lable on a cup of what is supposed to be hot liquid. I'm still calling her an SC for foolish disregard of handling hot substances, and bringing suit against a company who provided services as recommended. Most people, especially long-time coffee drinkers, know coffee should be hot when first served.
Try again. Part of the suit is how McD's had previously been cited for keeping their coffee too hot - 185 is deemed "scaldingly hot" and they were supposed to keep it at 165 at most. They blatantly disregarded it, and then disregarded her complaint. Admittedly, she should not have been holding it between her legs while driving (a fact she agreed to) but if it had only been at 165 as it should have been, she would not have suffered 2nd degree burns to her vulva. And when she brought it to McD's, they laughingly offered her to refund her $0.25. And THAT brought on the lawsuit. Not that the coffee was hot, not that it was too hot, but that they showed an almost criminal lack of concern for their part in causing the injury.

Mind you, these days when coffee is served in paper cups, either the paper is textured for insulation, or you are encouraged to use two nested cups for the same reason.

Read the list of her injuries, & how long she stayed in hospital. It was not a joke, nor was she being a sucky customer.

At least cases like that are rare, like the infamous McD's coffee spill. But some judges/juries lack common sense. And..... I best stop or I'd be fratching, lol.
Actually, poor Stella's been misrepresented horribly over the years.

    Break your own crap. Grr.
But she owns her crap. Some people love destroying stuff just because it's not theirs.

Shame on her for breaking stuff, and scaring people.

It's awful to break religious things on top of that. Break your own crap. Grr.

Yes. I tend to favor using my wand over my athame. It feels less threatening, and more welcoming, to the spirits.

What she's done will come back on her.

Unlikely. Courts don't have much sympathy for people who come to court with "dirty hands." That the brat was arrested for causing damage, and injured fighting with the cops will not endear her to any judge.
Let's hope that's the case. Unfortunately, it does happen now and then. There were a couple of cases in the news where someone broke into a home, injured themselves during the robbery, and actually won awards for damages. I don't recall all the details, but it wasn't actual traps set or anythng like that, either. I always thought you couldn't profit from something that happens while committing a crime, but there must be loopholes. At least cases like that are rare, like the infamous McD's coffee spill. But some judges/juries lack common sense. And..... I best stop or I'd be fratching, lol.

Wands and athames serve two very different purposes, and are not interchangeable. You can't sub a broom for a toothbrush..
Off the top of my head, an athame is used to invoke things on the spiritual plane and to cast circles (YMMV), while a wand is more encouraging and designed to invite spirits or those to help with the spell. Athame=commands. wand=invites.

Yes, the Rule of Three will catch up with her.
There is a passage in Salem falls by Jodi Picoult that shows an excellent example of the Rule of Three.

Re: 'Pagan' stores are fascinating: yes. There's like, two that I know of in my town... which is very Mormo-conservative, and they both somehow gives off the same vibe as the skins-and-fireworks place at the other end of the metro-area. (the skins-and-fireworks place, as it sounds, is a redneck place, but it's still clean and tidy. people who buy and sell furs, skins, and products of their hunting/trapping habit/necessity go there to buy and sell... and they sell fireworks year round. go fig.) The vibe is: this is a large place that sells shinies, and people go in and out all the time, but it's still like not a lot of people go in and out.
Re: rampaging teen-bitch: oy. I don't know what gets into people sometimes. Wrecking a store? Some smells you do not want on you.

I hope the parents don't let her out of their sight for quite some time! 50/50 chance they'll deny their little snowflake would EVER behave that way though!
9/10 that's where the problems began.
