I chose to be a bit different...so I wave the Samsung flag now
That is, I bought one of their laptops last year. So far, I haven't had problems with it. Of course, it's not my main computer either. That would be the 9-year-old Frankencomputer that's in my office. I originally built this beast..and then 'rebuilt' it with 'new' parts over the years. All of the 'new' stuff came from computers that had been retired at work. But, even it is starting to have issues now.
First computer I had, was a Dell 486/SX of some sort. It wasn't too bad, but I wasn't too fond of the (non-tower) case. To access the memory, all of the drives had to come out. Plus, if I wanted to add a second hard drive...that wasn't happening. There simply wasn't room. I had that for about 6 years, then bought a newer Compaq. Again, not bad...but I did find some of the 'proprietary' parts Compaq used to be a tad annoying. Nothing inside that computer was 'off the shelf.'
