  • Wow. (Warning: Gross)

I wasn't there for this one, but it got relayed to me by the lady working at the Way of Sub.

We walked in at around 10:30pm, and there was a sign taped on the door that said "Be Right Back". Friend and I look at each other, shrug, and then see an employee walking out of the bathroom. Okay, fine, she was taking a pee break. No problem!

But as we were paying, she tells us that someone actually threw up in the bathroom. Then walked out. AND DIDN'T TELL HER. Apparently it had been sitting in there long enough to DRY. She had had to put the sign up because she was the only person there.

Quoth her: "I don't get paid enough to clean up chunks." How right she be!

Lucky you. One time at the bookstore someone removed half a shelf of books, puked on the shelf, and replaced the books. That took premeditation. And guess who got to clean it up?

Vomit. Not fun. It ruins your mops for the whole day. Luckily, disinfectant is a powerful weapon against it.

When I worked for Publix years ago, one of the nightly jobs was to clean the bathrooms. One night, an employee discovered someone had changed their baby's diaper and had deposited the soiled diaper in the toilet, completely open where you could see the contents! Yuck! This guy nearly got sick, and I think one of the female cashiers had to take care of it.

This was long before bathrooms with changing tables or family restrooms, too. The least this person could have done was roll the diaper up and toss it in the trash can.
