This involves a CW, but since she's a (potential) customer of the business in question, posting it here.
I recently went on a cruise of the nearby islands. The cruise company is offering free comp cruises to management and front desk staff of local hotels. So I got to go for free, and I got to bring my husband along for $25! (It is normally $89 per person.)
Former Boss Lady (FBL) is on vacation and is up here staying with us. Other MOD and FBL were hanging out. Other MOD called me to get a wake-up call for her room and ask about the cruise.
Other MOD: "Hey, what was that cruise you were on?"
Me: "The $89 cruise? The one we have all the brochures for?"
Other MOD: "Yeah! What did you need to get it free?"
Me: "They said just bring in a name badge and/or a pay stub to prove you work here."
Other MOD: *relays info to FBL in bg*
FBL: "Well, I didn't bring any of that!"
Other MOD: "She said she doesn't have that."
Me: "Well...then I guess she'll have to pay the $89?"
Other MOD: *repeats what I said*
FBL: "That's just ridiculous! Why would I bring any of that with me? Why should I have to bring that? Why the hell do they need that?!?! Blah blah blah."
Yeah, why would you have to prove you work in the industry to get the free cruise? Why can't anyone just go in and rip them off for free rides? </sarcasm>
(BTW you can see some pics we took from the cruise here. Unfortunately didn't see any whales. But it was still fun!)
