The one near me is pretty friendly when you're just looking, helpful but not pushy, buuuut they do the creeper 'standing outside the door' thing. Not just to me, either - their associates walk up and down in the fitting rooms asking people questions from outside the doors. Wtf? I just want to try it on, not be grilled while I'm naked in there.

meh, i hate the idea of having my changing door open while I'm half naked.

I use to get so upset when mom would be helping me and would have the door open to see how I was doing. granted i was pretty young back then but meh it drove me crazy. ahahahahahaha.
I remember those days. I got embarrassed once at JCPenney when Mom had me try on new pants. It was the week before school started, and no dressing rooms were available. Did we wait? Nope! Mom had me change right there in front of God and everyone else. Oh, how I hated clothes shopping.

Sounds like this lady was on something and interested in something more with you. Pretty creepy.

I really don't like VS, they're overpriced for what they sell, and I've found the salespeople are very pushy. While La Senza is about the same prices I find the sales people are a lot more relaxed there, and they seem to have better sales (maybe it's a politeness thing since it's a Canadian store :P).

On that note, I want new underthings! Ones that are pretty and match.

Unfortunately, I don't know the Latin for it....I was just saying it's an old joke.
I got it. Made me laugh.

I've only tried VS a couple of times and have yet to manage to find a bra of theirs that fits right. The last time I tried something, the bra was made so oddly that I felt like it was trying to levitate my boobs somewhere in the vicinity of my collarbone, and that was without the straps on. o.0 And the saleswoman wasn't quite creeper-stalker on me (I suspect my size 16 frame made me 'less desirable' to them), she was still in my space enough to irritate me.

I currently have a few bras from Catherine's that have to be the most comfortable bras I've every had. Soft cup, and the cups are a little less restricting than most which might feel odd to some, but the support seems are in the right places to keep everything, bra and boobs, in place through the day. Now if only I could find one with crossover straps so they stop falling off my non-existent shoulders.

You can buy these clip things that draw the 2 straps on a normal bra towards each other. It means you need a bra with fully adjustable straps, rather than partially, but they do work quite well. I use one in the summer when I replace my shirts with smart vest tops to keep my bra straps hidden.

Note: I'm a Brit, maybe some of the American board members can say whether this device exists over the Pond?

I own a few convertible bras, that you can take the straps off and wear a whole bunch of different ways.

We actually do have things we can buy that will hold the straps towards the middle of the back to keep them from slipping, but I've never bothered to actually get them. I'm afraid when I do get around to it, though, it'll end up sliding up to just behind my neck and annoying the hell out of me because with the way I'm built, the straps actually end up further apart where they connect to the band than when they come over my shoulders. >_<
